FREE AGENCY

Weeks 1-12: Starting after the first week of the season and until the 12th week owners will be allowed to pickup players off of the waiver wire. Any current NFL player not already on a SFFL team is considered to be a free agent on the waiver wire. Coaches should request free agents (along with the player to drop) in the online free agency tool.

Teams will pick up players off of the waiver wire in the order of lowest ranked team to highest ranked team in the power rankings. Power ranking are generated each week based on how many of the other 11 teams in the league you would have beaten. The team with the highest score each week gets 11 points and the team with the lowest score gets 0. In the result of a tie the team who has scored the fewest points will go first and in week 1 before any points are scored, the pickups are made in ascending draft order (not serpentine like the draft itself)

Weeks 13 on: You will only be allowed to drop players who are injured from the 13th week on. To qualify, the player must be at least questionable on the NFL's Injury list. You may pick up players as normal but only if you do not exceed the 16 player limit. With this in mind, it may be prudent to have an open roster spot for weeks 13 and 14

TRADES

Weeks 1-10: Any coach may trade one or more players to any other coach in exchange for one or more players. In order to make a trade, two coaches must first agree upon the players involved in the trade and report them to the commissioner. Once the commissioner receives the trade, he will announce it, via email, to the rest of the league. There is then a 24 hour review period in which coaches may object to the trade for any reason. If there are not two or more objections to the trade, then that trade will go into effect immediately unless the cutoff for changing starting lineups for that week has been reached (i.e. noon on the day of the first game for that week). If the cutoff for that week has been reached, then the trade will be enacted on the following tuesday at 8am. Either coach involved in the trade may cancel the trade at any time before it becomes official.

If a vote is called for by two or more coaches objecting to the trade, the trade will be postponed until the following tuesday at 8am. In the meantime, the commissioner will collect votes from all coaches concerning the trade. Once tuesday morning rolls around (8am), the votes will be tallied and if six or more coaches vote to not allow the trade, it will be cancelled. There will be no assumptions that a coach who objected to the trade is voting to disallow the trade and any coaches who have not voted by this time will be considered to have abstained from voting. If there are not six votes to cancel the trade, then the trade will go into affect immediately.

Weeks 11-12: In weeks 11 and 12 the above rules apply but in addition it only takes one complaint to call for a vote and you may only trade with teams that are within 1 win of your team (i.e. if you have 6 wins recorded you may only trade with other teams if they have 5, 6, or 7 wins).

Week 13 on: No trades will be permitted.
