Rules - Schedule

Regular Season

The SFFL regular season will consist of the first 14 weeks of the NFL Regular season. During the course of the regular season each team will have 14 head-to-head matches with other teams from the league.

There is no tiebreaker for games involving ties. Ties are ties. Each team will have one home and one away game with each divisional opponent and 4 of 8 games outside your division will be home games.

Playoffs

Weeks 15 and 16 of the NFL Regular Season will constitute the playoff weeks for the SFFL. Only 4 teams will progress to the playoffs. These will be the 3 divisional winners and 1 overall wild card team.

The divisional winner will be determined by the team in each division which has the highest overall record with the following tie-breakers 1) divisional record 2) total points scored in the regular season and 3) flip of the coin.

The wildcard spot will be awarded to the team with the best overall record who did not win their division, with the following tie-breakers 1) total points scored in the regular season and 2) flip of the coin.

The week 15 schedule will be the wildcard team at the highest seeded divisional winner and the #3 seeded divisional winner at the #2 seeded divisional winner. The divisional winners will be ranked by the following criteria: 1) overall record 2) total points scored in the regular season 3) flip of the coin. "Home field advantage" is in effect for week 15 (ie if there is a tie, then the home team is awarded the win).

The week 16 schedule will be the 2 winners from week 15 facing in a neutral stadium (no home field advantage). The tie-breakers will be 1) total points scored in the regular season and 2) flip of the coin. The winner in week 16 will be awarded the SFFL Championship.
